Portage Park Winter Program Registration Opens December 8: New Classes and Activities for 2026

Portage Park residents will have new opportunities to stay active and engaged this winter as the Chicago Park District prepares to launch its 2026 winter program registration on December 8, 2025. The expansive 38-acre community hub will offer a diverse array of classes and activities running from January 5 through March 15, catering to neighbors of all ages and interests.

The winter lineup features popular returning programs including adult fitness classes, senior activities, arts and crafts workshops, and youth sports. Families can also look forward to several new seasonal offerings designed specifically for the colder months. Registration can be completed online beginning December 8 at 9:00 AM, with in-person registration available starting December 13 for those who prefer face-to-face assistance.

Residents interested in exploring the full catalog of winter programming can preview course offerings on the Chicago Park District website or visit the fieldhouse for more information. The Portage Park Advisory Council will also discuss winter activities at their next meeting on December 22 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, providing an excellent opportunity for community members to share input on future programs and events.
