McKinley Park to Host Key 'Picture Your Parks' Town Hall on December 15

McKinley Park residents will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of their neighborhood green spaces at the upcoming 'Picture Your Parks' town hall scheduled for Tuesday, December 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the McKinley Park Field House. The Chicago Park District is organizing this interactive community session as part of its citywide initiative to gather resident input for its new strategic plan.

The town hall will invite neighbors to share ideas about improving the 71.75-acre park, which already features numerous amenities including a gymnasium, swimming pool, seasonal ice skating rink, and athletic fields. "This is a chance for community members to directly influence how their park evolves to meet neighborhood needs," explained Park Supervisor Maria Garcia. Winter programming at the park continues through mid-December, with ice skating sessions operating Wednesday through Sunday starting December 3.

Residents interested in participating in this important planning process can simply drop in during the event hours at 2210 W. Pershing Road. No pre-registration is required, and refreshments will be provided.
