Piccadilly Pub Set to Bring British 'Chippy Culture' to Ravenswood This December
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Ravenswood ·
Ravenswood residents will soon have a new dining destination as Piccadilly Pub prepares to open its doors in early December at 4749 N. Rockwell Street, taking over the former Green Post location. This fast-casual tavern, created by the same ownership team behind neighboring Piccadilly Market, promises to bring authentic British 'chippy culture' to the neighborhood with a distinctly Chicago twist.
The new establishment will feature a menu of housemade gluten-free fish and chips, fried chicken sandwiches, Irish spice bags, a $9 smash burger, and the debut of Piccadilly's frozen Irish coffee. Owner Aaron Zacharias has reimagined the space with holiday décor, new dart boards, and pub games near the fireplace. 'Piccadilly Pub is built for our neighborhood. We have created a true community pub, with community pricing, where everyone feels welcome,' Zacharias told Block Club Chicago.
Neighbors can look forward to unique features like the ability to order Piccadilly Market sandwiches directly to their pub table or bring a bottle of wine from the market's curated selection for a small corkage fee. The cozy space has already drawn positive reviews during soft opening, with visitors praising the warm atmosphere and perfectly crispy fish and chips. Ravenswood residents can visit the new neighborhood gathering spot in early December to experience this taste of British tradition with Chicago flair.
