Portage Park's Six Corners Revival Continues: Pita Inn Construction Marks Historic Chicago Debut
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Portage Park ·
Exciting progress is transforming the landscape at Six Corners as construction advances on Portage Park's newest dining destination. The highly anticipated Pita Inn restaurant at 4045 North Cicero Avenue is taking shape, marking a significant milestone as the popular Mediterranean chain's first-ever Chicago location.
The development, rising on the former Sears Auto Center site, represents a pivotal moment in the ongoing revitalization of Six Corners. When completed, the project will feature three standalone buildings housing the restaurant, a Burlington department store, and a Wells Fargo branch. The Pita Inn location will include an attractive outdoor dining area with a connecting walkway to the bank, enhancing the neighborhood's growing reputation as a dining destination. Currently operating five suburban establishments, Pita Inn's expansion into Portage Park brings its celebrated Mediterranean cuisine to Chicago proper for the first time.
Community leaders have expressed enthusiasm about this development, describing it as "a significant milestone in the ongoing revitalization of Six Corners." Residents interested in learning more about this project and other neighborhood developments can attend the upcoming Portage Park Advisory Council meeting on December 22 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the fieldhouse.
