Pilsen's Citlalin Art Gallery Hosts Community Holiday Market Supporting Local Artists

Pilsen's vibrant arts scene is shining bright this holiday season as Citlalin Art Gallery transforms into a festive marketplace showcasing the neighborhood's creative talent. Located at 2005 S. Blue Island Avenue, the gallery has organized a special holiday event bringing together local artists and community members in a celebration of Pilsen's cultural heritage.

The market, which opened December 22 and continues through Christmas Eve, features handcrafted items from neighborhood artisans, including traditional folk art, contemporary paintings, handmade jewelry, and textile works. Pilsen Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Javier Yanez highlighted the importance of such events in strengthening community bonds while supporting the local creative economy. "This holiday market represents our neighborhood's resilience and creative spirit," Yanez noted during the opening celebration.

Pilsen residents and visitors interested in supporting local artists while finding unique holiday gifts are encouraged to visit the gallery between 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM through December 24. The event also includes live music performances by neighborhood musicians, creating a festive atmosphere that celebrates Pilsen's rich cultural traditions during the holiday season.
