Pilsen Day Trip Passport Program Showcases Neighborhood's Small Business Community This January

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Pilsen ·

Pilsen residents and visitors have a special opportunity to explore and support local businesses through the neighborhood's Day Trip Passport program running throughout January 2026. The community initiative encourages visitors to discover Pilsen's rich cultural heritage while patronizing small businesses that form the backbone of the neighborhood's economy.

Participants can pick up their passports at several convenient locations including Device Fix, Foxglove Coffee, Kristoffer's Bakery & Cafe, Panadería El Acámbaro, and Pink Flores Bakery and Cafe. The program invites visitors to collect stamps from participating businesses, with a commemorative t-shirt awaiting the first 100 people who complete their passport collection. 'After all, when it comes to community, Su Negocio es Mi Negocio (Your business is My business). We're in this together!' notes promotional material from the Pilsen Chamber of Commerce, which coordinates the program from their headquarters at 2026 S. Blue Island Avenue.

Community members interested in supporting local businesses while experiencing Pilsen's vibrant cultural scene can participate any day in January. For more details about participating venues and passport pickup locations, visit the Pilsen Chamber of Commerce website or stop by their office during regular business hours.
