Edgewater Library Launches Creative Arts Series for Winter 2026
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Edgewater ·
Edgewater residents seeking creative outlets this January can look forward to an exciting lineup of arts programming at the Edgewater Branch Library. Beginning January 8, the library will host its popular Edgewater Community Music Jam sessions, welcoming musicians of all skill levels who play acoustic instruments, as well as singers and appreciative listeners.
The music jam sessions, scheduled for January 8 at 4:00pm and January 17 at 1:00pm, provide a welcoming environment for community members to connect through music. Additionally, on January 18, the library will introduce SoulCollage®, an innovative workshop combining creativity, intuition, and self-expression where participants create personal collages from magazine images centered around a chosen theme.
The library's winter programming also includes the Edgewater Memory Café on January 16, offering a supportive environment for individuals with memory loss and their caregivers featuring games, arts and crafts, and music activities. These events highlight the library's commitment to fostering community connections through accessible arts programming. Residents interested in participating can register for these free events through the Chicago Public Library website, with spots still available for all sessions.
