Irving Park Artists Book House Launches Winter Workshop Series for Community Creatives

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Irving Park ·

Irving Park residents with a creative streak have an exciting new opportunity this winter as the Artists Book House launches a comprehensive series of workshops at their 4207 W. Irving Park Road location. The community art center, which has become a vibrant cultural hub since opening, is expanding its winter programming with classes in papermaking, printmaking, bookbinding, and creative writing beginning January 10, 2026.

The workshop series coincides with the neighborhood's growing reputation as a destination for arts and culture on Chicago's Northwest Side. Local artists will lead hands-on sessions where participants can create handmade paper, learn letterpress techniques, and explore book arts in a supportive environment. The Artists Book House workshop space has quickly become a focal point where residents can connect with artistic traditions while developing new skills in a variety of mediums.

"We're focused on public art and creative expression in our community," explains the program director. "These workshops are designed to be accessible to everyone, from beginners to advanced practitioners." Neighbors interested in exploring their artistic side can find complete details and registration information on the Artists Book House website, with early registration recommended as several sessions are already filling quickly.
