North Center Launches 'Hop 'N' Stop' Shopping Initiative to Boost Local Businesses

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/North Center ·

The Northcenter Chamber of Commerce has kicked off 2026 with an innovative community initiative called 'Hop 'N' Stop in Northcenter!' aimed at encouraging residents to explore and support local businesses throughout the neighborhood.

The new program, launched in early January, invites community members to 'hop' between participating North Center businesses, creating a fun, interactive way for neighbors to discover hidden gems in their own backyard. As part of its mission to create connections within the neighborhood, the Chamber has designed this initiative to combine community engagement with business support, adding to its packed calendar of free, seasonal programming that brings together businesses and residents.

Residents interested in participating can pick up 'Hop 'N' Stop' passports at the Chamber office at 4054 N. Lincoln Avenue. "Whether you're a neighborhood business owner or a Northcenter resident, we exist to help grow your business and strengthen our community," the Chamber stated. "There's a little something for everyone in Northcenter. Besides diverse dining, lively bars, and unique shops, the Chamber also hosts a packed calendar of family-friendly events to connect you with the community."
