Edgewater Indoor Market Expands to 70+ Vendors for Winter 2026 Season
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Edgewater ·
The beloved Edgewater Indoor Market has returned for its second year with significant expansions, now featuring over 70 small businesses under one roof at Broadway Armory Park. Starting January 10, residents can escape the winter chill while supporting local entrepreneurs every Saturday from 10am to 2pm in the armory's first-floor gymnasium.
The market, which has grown substantially since its inaugural season in 2025, offers everything from baked goods and seasonal produce to handcrafted gifts, candles, and coffee. This winter season, the event will run for five consecutive Saturdays, providing more opportunities for community members to connect with local artisans. Among the participants is Loaves and Witches, a community-focused bakery that opened just blocks from the armory a year and a half ago. "We have the greatest neighbors and regulars and customers and folks that just have really joined more of a community sense in our store, rather than like customers...we love it here," shared owner Julie Goodmann.
Edgewater residents are encouraged to visit the free community event at 5917 N. Broadway, accessible via the Red Line Thorndale stop or buses 36 and 151. The market continues to exemplify the neighborhood's commitment to supporting small businesses and fostering community connections throughout the winter months.
