Edgewater Library Launches Innovative SoulCollage® Workshop This Weekend

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Edgewater ·

Edgewater residents seeking creative expression this winter can look forward to an innovative art workshop debuting at the Edgewater Branch Library this Sunday, January 18. The SoulCollage® program combines creativity, intuition, and self-expression, inviting participants to create personal collages from magazine and newspaper images centered around words of their choosing.

The free workshop offers a unique opportunity for community members to engage with art in a meaningful way during the winter months. "SoulCollage® provides a relaxing creative outlet while fostering connections between neighbors," explains a library representative. The event is part of the Edgewater Branch's expanded winter programming, which includes the popular Community Music Jam sessions and the supportive Edgewater Memory Café gatherings for individuals with memory loss and their caregivers.

Registration for Sunday's SoulCollage® workshop is required but still available, with 38 spots remaining as of press time. Interested residents can register through the Chicago Public Library website. This new creative initiative highlights Edgewater's growing reputation as a hub for accessible arts programming and community engagement.
