Fashion Geek Streetwear Brand Celebrates Grand Opening Week in Hyde Park

Fashion Geek, a Chicago-born streetwear brand known for collaborations with Puma and Jay-Z, is celebrating its grand opening in Hyde Park this week. The popular brand, which soft-launched its location at 5241 S. Harper Avenue late last year, is now fully operational and planning a special release in partnership with Jay-Z's streetwear brand, Paper Planes. The store features the brand's signature merchandise at newly reduced prices, with items now running from $40 to $75.

Founded by streetwear pioneer Alonzo Jackson, Fashion Geek has established itself as an iconic Chicago fashion brand. The new Hyde Park location offers fans an immersive experience with exclusive product drops, limited-edition collaborations, and the brand's signature mix of streetwear and artistry. "Hyde Park has always been a hub for culture, creativity, and style," said Jackson. "Opening Fashion Geek here is about more than just a store — it's about celebrating Chicago, building community, and giving people a space where fashion feels alive." The store is now open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m., welcoming neighborhood residents and visitors to explore this exciting addition to Hyde Park's retail landscape.
