By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Near West Side ·
The Near West Side is kicking off 2026 with an expanded version of the popular West Loop Music & Art Fest, transforming Fulton Street into a dynamic, open-air gallery and music venue. The winter edition of the festival will span an impressive five city blocks, celebrating creativity, craftsmanship, and community spirit as Fulton Market transforms into a bustling outdoor gallery featuring over 100 artists and makers.
During daylight hours, attendees can wander through curated vendor booths offering fine art, ceramics, textiles, and handmade goods while enjoying the creative energy of Chicago's art scene. Families will find plenty to do with interactive crafts and workshops designed for all ages. As evening approaches, the festival transforms with light installations and musical performances as stages come alive with DJs, bands, and feel-good performances that continue well into the night.
The West Central Association will also host a variety of winter-themed carnival games for all ages, with exciting chances to win prizes. All proceeds will be earmarked for community development initiatives, continuing the Association's mission to build stronger community connections and reinvest in the neighborhood. Residents interested in participating, becoming a sponsor, or volunteering can contact the West Central Association at [email protected] for more information.
