Madison Row Winter Market Launches in Near West Side with Local Artisans and Interactive Activities

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Near West Side ·

The Near West Side is welcoming a vibrant new community initiative this month with the launch of the Madison Row Winter Market, bringing together local artisans, food vendors, and interactive activities to West Loop's popular Madison Street corridor. The West Central Association Chamber of Commerce announced the winter market series as part of their expanded 2026 community programming, building on the success of previous neighborhood events like Madison Row Fest and the West Loop Art Festival.

The winter market will transform the Madison Row district into a lively hub where residents can shop from local craftspeople, enjoy seasonal treats from neighborhood eateries, and participate in family-friendly activities. "This initiative creates a welcoming winter gathering space while supporting our local businesses during typically slower months," explained a WCA representative. The market will feature carnival-style games with proceeds benefiting future community development initiatives.

Near West Side residents interested in participating as vendors, sponsors, or volunteers can contact the West Central Association at [email protected]. The market is part of WCA's broader 2026 strategy to increase neighborhood engagement and support economic development across the Near West Side community. The first market will take place this Saturday from 12-5pm, with additional dates scheduled throughout January and February.
