Roscoe Village Transforms Winter Weekend with Wine Walk and Live Ice Sculpting Spectacle

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Roscoe Village ·

This weekend, Roscoe Village residents will have the opportunity to taste over 20 different wines while strolling through local shops along Roscoe Street during the neighborhood's anticipated Winter Wine Walk. The event features participating businesses including Savannah Supper Club, Le Sud, Lush Food and Drink, RoscoeBooks, Denim Lounge, Kickin', and Volo Restaurant Wine Bar, among others. Attendees can expect small bites paired with tastings throughout the evening, and exclusive deals from local merchants, making it an ideal opportunity for early Valentine's Day shopping.

Complementing the Wine Walk, Roscoe Village's neighboring Lakeview area will host a captivating Live Ice Sculpting event on Saturday, January 31 from 2-4 PM and Sunday, February 1 from 12-2 PM in front of St. Alphonsus Church. Organized by SSA 27, this winter activation invites residents to watch Master Ice Carvers transform blocks of ice into beautiful creations based on audience suggestions. This annual event aims to create winter magic in the neighborhood during Chicago's typically dull January weather. The sculpting demonstration is free, open to the public, and requires no registration, making it perfect for families or a romantic winter date destination.
