Jefferson Park's Winter Sunday Market Returns to Historic Gateway Theater on February 1

Jefferson Park residents seeking fresh local goods have a reason to mark their calendars for Sunday, February 1, 2026, as the neighborhood's popular Winter Sunday Market returns to the Copernicus Center. This event is part of a series of four winter indoor markets, with additional dates scheduled for March 22 and May 3.

Unlike previous years when the market was held exclusively in the center's annex, attendees will enter through the Copernicus Center's main entrance into the lobby of the historic Gateway Theater, which opened in 1930. The market offers a unique shopping experience with the theater's bar open for refreshments and live music performed from the lobby's grand staircase. Nearly 30 vendors will fill both the lobby and the adjacent Gateway Lounge, offering everything from fresh produce to specialty items from local producers.

Running from 10 am to 2 pm at 5216 W. Lawrence Avenue, the market features local produce, pastas, baked goods, soaps, candles, and more. Community members are encouraged to support local farmers and producers while enjoying the market's festive atmosphere, complete with music and the option to enjoy a drink at the bar.
