Edgewater Environmental Coalition to Host Monthly Meeting as Valentine's Day Card Event Approaches

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Edgewater ·

Edgewater residents looking to connect with neighbors and make a difference in their community have two exciting opportunities this February. The Edgewater Environmental Coalition (EEC) will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, February 12, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at 6018 N Kenmore Avenue. This hybrid event allows residents to attend in person or via Zoom, providing a welcoming space for community members to share environmental project updates and connect with like-minded neighbors.

Meanwhile, this Sunday, February 8, the Edgewater Library is hosting a Valentine's Day Card Signing & Social Gathering with 66 spots still available for registration. The event offers a perfect opportunity for residents to create handmade Valentine's cards while socializing with fellow community members. These community-focused gatherings highlight Edgewater's commitment to fostering connections among residents during the winter months.

These February events showcase Edgewater's vibrant community spirit and provide multiple ways for residents to engage with local organizations. Those interested in environmental advocacy are encouraged to attend the EEC meeting to learn about upcoming spring initiatives, including the Berger Park volunteer days scheduled to begin in April. Community members looking for more immediate social connections can register for Sunday's Valentine's card-making event through the Chicago Public Library website.
