Lincoln Park Room Hosts Major Tech Event as Local Salon Owner Receives Community Recognition

Lincoln Park's tech and creative scene is heating up this February with a major industry event at one of the neighborhood's most innovative spaces. The Lincoln Park Room (LPR), located at 2242 North Lincoln Avenue, will host the highly-anticipated Unreal Engine Chicago networking event on Saturday, February 7. Founded by Anastacio Gonzalez, LPR has quickly established itself as the number one chapter representative for Unreal Engine, the powerful game design technology developed by Epic Games.

In other neighborhood news, Lincoln Park salon owner Edda Coscioni has been crowned a 'Neighborhood Champion' by the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce. Coscioni, who joined the chamber shortly after opening Salon Edda, has been recognized for her extensive community involvement, including fundraising for local nonprofits and serving on special service area commissions focused on neighborhood improvements. Her salon has also embraced eco-conscious business practices, diverting approximately 96% of salon waste through an innovative partnership with Green Circle Salons, a certified B Corporation waste recovery program.
