Pita Inn Breaks Ground: First Chicago Location Coming to Portage Park's Six Corners

A Pita Inn restaurant, Burlington department store, and Wells Fargo branch are all set to open at the former Sears Auto Center located at 4035 N. Cicero Ave., bringing exciting new dining and shopping options to Portage Park residents. Construction has officially begun on the new Pita Inn at 4045 North Cicero Avenue, with the restaurant located just one block from the iconic Six Corners intersection where Cicero Avenue, Milwaukee Avenue, and Irving Park Road meet.

This will mark the first Chicago location for the popular Mediterranean-style restaurant chain, which currently operates five suburban locations including Skokie and Glenview. The restaurant's plans include an outdoor dining area, while the adjacent Wells Fargo location will feature a drive-up ATM. An outdoor walkway will connect the restaurant to the bank, creating a pedestrian-friendly design. With project completion estimated for fall or winter of 2026, this development represents a significant advancement in the ongoing revitalization of Six Corners, transforming it into a vibrant destination for local residents and enhancing the diverse culinary offerings in the neighborhood.

Construction on these and other Six Corners developments is expected to continue throughout the year, with completion projected for late 2026.
