Albany Park Welcomes 'Mosaic Market' - New International Artisan Hub Opening on Lawrence Avenue
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Albany Park ·
Albany Park's diverse community will soon have a vibrant new destination with the announcement of Mosaic Market, an international artisan marketplace set to open at 3741 W. Lawrence Avenue on February 25, 2026. The location, formerly slated for the Workshop Arts Collaborative, has pivoted to create a permanent indoor market featuring over 20 local craftspeople and food vendors representing the neighborhood's global heritage.
The project builds on Albany Park's growing reputation as a cultural hub, taking advantage of the area's relatively affordable real estate and vibrant, culturally diverse population. Visitors can expect handcrafted goods, artwork, and specialty foods representing the neighborhood's Mexican, Middle Eastern, Korean, Filipino, and Eastern European communities. The market will also feature a central performance area for cultural demonstrations, music, and community gatherings, with weekend programming already scheduled through spring.
Residents can get a first look during the grand opening celebration scheduled for February 25-26, which will include food tastings, craft demonstrations, and performances by local musicians. The market plans to operate Thursday through Sunday year-round, adding another destination to Albany Park's growing reputation as a center for global cuisine and culture. For vendor applications or more information, interested community members can visit the Albany Park Chamber of Commerce website.
