Lakeview East Dive Bar Classic Returns: Neighborhood Taverns Celebrated in February Festival

The Lakeview East Dive Bar Classic is returning to the neighborhood from February 9 to March 1, 2026, offering residents a unique opportunity to explore some of the area's most beloved watering holes while curing their winter blues. Participants who visit all participating establishments during the three-week event, documenting their journey with photos, will earn a commemorative t-shirt and neighborhood bragging rights.

This winter celebration honors what organizers call "the unsung heroes that make Lakeview East so special" – the neighborhood's characteristic dive bars where comfort meets camaraderie and community bonds are forged over unforgettable memories. Participating venues include local favorites such as Clark Street Dog, Dram Shop, Friar Tuck, Joe's on Broadway, L&L Tavern, Monsignor Murphy's, Nisei Lounge, and Parrots Bar and Grill – each offering unique drink specials throughout the event. Adding to the excitement, Old Style has partnered with the event to provide prizes for a photo contest, with categories including Best Photo with an Old Style beer, Best Group Photo, and Most Creative photo.
