Teamwork Englewood's 'Food as Medicine' Series and R.A.G.E. Homeownership Sessions Fuel West Englewood's February Revival
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/West Englewood ·
West Englewood residents have a packed calendar of community-building opportunities this February, as two neighborhood anchors roll out fresh programming designed to strengthen health, wealth, and homeownership in the community.
Teamwork Englewood is bringing food and wellness to the forefront with its ongoing 'Food as Medicine' workshop series. Earlier this month, the organization hosted an introductory Fermentation and Canning Workshop, giving residents hands-on skills for nutritious, homemade food preservation — a natural extension of the neighborhood's broader push toward food equity and healthy living. The workshop is part of Teamwork Englewood's larger Health and Wellness Bootcamp Series, running January 28 through March 4, 2026, which offers residents consistent, accessible programming to improve their well-being right in the heart of West Englewood.
Meanwhile, the Resident Association of Greater Englewood (R.A.G.E.) is inviting community members to its upcoming 'House 2 Home – Build with R.A.G.E. Info Session' on February 27th. The session is designed to connect aspiring homeowners with resources and pathways to put down roots in the neighborhood — a vital step in building lasting community wealth and stability. Together, these initiatives reflect West Englewood's momentum: neighbors investing in their health, their homes, and each other. Residents are encouraged to visit the Teamwork Englewood and R.A.G.E. websites to sign up and get involved.
