Spice Meets Style: Kama Brings Bold Contemporary Indian Dining to West Loop's Randolph Street
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/West Loop ·
West Loop's legendary Restaurant Row just got a vibrant new neighbor. Kama, a contemporary Indian dining destination, has opened its newest location at 812 W. Randolph St., adding another must-visit address to one of Chicago's most celebrated dining corridors. Founded by Vikram Singh and Agnes Singh, the West Loop outpost marks the third iteration of the acclaimed concept, which first made its mark in La Grange before expanding to Wicker Park.
Guests can expect an immersive experience anchored by standout signature dishes like cashew korma e pepe, short rib nihari, halibut moilee, and lamb keema ragu — with West Loop-exclusive offerings like coconut risotto rounding out the menu. The beverage program, led by Agnes Singh, is equally ambitious, featuring handcrafted cocktails made with more than 20 ingredients, including housemade infusions, innovative spice blends, and scratch-made chutneys. Standouts include the Goan Sour and the eye-catching Purple Rain, combining Japanese Butterfly gin, lemongrass, lavender, grapefruit tonic, and Campari foam.
And if that's not enough reason to head to Fulton Market, the Monos luggage store has quietly launched Postcard, a charming new café with a built-in DJ booth serving up coffee drinks, pastries, and creative toasts right inside the shop. West Loop neighbors are encouraged to explore both of these fresh new spots and share their finds with the community on Socialhood!
