Roscoe Village Teens Step Into Leadership as Neighbors Junior Board Election Launches — Plus a Packed Spring Events Lineup
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Roscoe Village ·
Roscoe Village is investing in its future — one young leader at a time. Roscoe Village Neighbors (RVN) has officially launched its 2026 Junior Board Election, opening the door for neighborhood teens ages 13–18 to take an active role in shaping the community they call home. The Roscoe Village Neighbors Junior Board (RVNJB) is designed specifically for younger residents eager to get civically engaged, giving them a real seat at the table in neighborhood decision-making. If you know a motivated teen in the Village, now is the time to encourage them to get involved — details are available at roscoevillage.org.
And the community momentum doesn't stop there. The Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce has a vibrant spring calendar taking shape. On March 12, the Chamber hosts its Annual Meeting & Recognition Program, celebrating the local businesses and champions who make the neighborhood thrive — with a cocktail hour at 5:30 PM followed by dinner at Heineken 2nd Star Tavern at Fire Pitch. Then on March 22, the second annual Lakeview Coffee Stroll invites neighbors to sip, shop, and stroll along the Southport Corridor and Paulina Hub, benefiting Friends of Lakeview. Wrapping out the month, March 28 brings "Mimosas & Momentum: Cheers to Women Entrepreneurs" — a celebratory gathering for the neighborhood's female business leaders.
From youth empowerment to community celebration, Roscoe Village is living up to its "Village Within the City" spirit this spring. Check the full events calendar at lakeviewroscoevillage.org and mark those dates!
