By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Andersonville ·
A bold new voice has arrived on Andersonville's arts scene. Eos Theatre Company — a brand-new, women-led troupe — made its debut announcement this week, and neighbors should take note: this is exactly the kind of creative energy that makes the neighborhood special.
Founded by four Chicago dramatists, Eos Theatre Company is the brainchild of Rachel Sledd, Ashway Lawver, Morgan Lavenstein, and Morgan Burkey. The quartet first connected while working together on a Loop Players production and immediately found their artistic kinship. For their debut production, Eos is staging a modern retelling of "The Trojan Women" by Caroline Bird, running April 4–19 at Bramble Arts Loft, 5545 N. Clark St., with a preview night April 2 and press night April 3. Tickets are priced at $45 general admission, $20 for industry, and
Looking beyond opening night, Eos also plans to engage the broader Andersonville community through workshops and mentorships. Grab your tickets now at the Eos Theatre Company website and be part of Andersonville's newest cultural chapter from the very first act.
