Big news for the Irving Park Road corridor: a fresh, family-sized residential development is officially on the way. Developer Barrett Homes has announced plans to break ground this summer on a four-story, 24-unit condo building at 2137–47 W. Irving Park Road in North Center, replacing the existing Wintrust drive-thru bank and an adjacent vacant building that have long sat on the block.
Designed by 360 Design Studio, the brick-clad building will rise 65 feet and feature approximately 4,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space — a welcome boost for street-level retail along the corridor.
