Million-Dollar Condos, Shamrocks & Springtime Vibes: West Loop Is Having a Moment

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/West Loop ·

West Loop kicked off mid-March in style — and the neighborhood's momentum shows no signs of slowing. Just days ago, plans were unveiled for a striking new boutique residential building at 1282 W. Washington Blvd., where developers ZSD Corp and Corwin Partners are proposing a five-story, white-brick structure featuring corner balconies, symmetrical inset window bays, and spacious 'single-family' condominiums ranging from

.75 to $4 million. The project, which falls within the Skinner West Elementary school district, has already opened a sales center at 1151 W. Madison Street — and is expected to begin delivering units by fall 2027, pending zoning approval.

And this past weekend, West Loop leaned fully into St. Patrick's Day spirit. The neighborhood transformed into one of Chicago's premier destinations for the holiday, with the West Loop Official St. Paddy's Bar Crawl drawing crowds to 858 W. Lake St. and beyond — featuring DJs, live entertainment, and green-tinted revelry across some of the area's most beloved bars and venues, including a festive pop-up at The Emily Hotel on N. Morgan Street.

With spring in the air, new architecture on the horizon, and a neighborhood that never misses a reason to celebrate, West Loop is proving yet again why it's one of Chicago's most dynamic places to live, work, and play.
