Ravenswood Serves Up STEM Fun for Families Tomorrow — Plus, Begyle Brewing Is Hosting the Most Unique Happy Hour of the Year
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Ravenswood ·
Ravenswood is proving once again that there's always something worth stepping outside for — and this weekend kicks things off in the best possible way. Kiddie Academy of Lincoln Square-Ravenswood is hosting a free STEM Adventures event tomorrow, Saturday, March 21, at 10 a.m. Families with children ages 2 and up are invited to drop in for hands-on, play-based activities centered on science, technology, engineering, and math — no ticket required, just curiosity and a good attitude. It's the kind of low-key, high-value neighborhood event that makes Ravenswood such a great place to raise a family.
Looking a little further ahead, the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce has an event on the books that's unlike anything we've seen on the neighborhood calendar before. On May 1st, Begyle Brewing — the laid-back community taproom that helped pioneer the Ravenswood Industrial Corridor's craft beer scene — will host "Therapist's Row," a networking happy hour from 4–6 PM designed specifically for therapists and mental health professionals. It's a playful, community-minded mashup of cold pints and professional connection, and it speaks volumes about the kind of creative, caring community that Ravenswood has always been.
From tiny scientists to mental health advocates, Ravenswood's community calendar keeps finding new ways to bring people together. Head to ravenswoodchicago.org to stay up to date on all the neighborhood happenings.
