Stroll, Sip & Savor: West Loop's Sunday Food Tour Returns Just in Time for Spring — Plus Big Festivals on the Horizon

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/West Loop ·

Spring has officially arrived in the West Loop — and so has the perfect excuse to hit the pavement and explore the neighborhood's legendary food scene. The Gateway to the West Loop Food Tour is back in full swing every Sunday afternoon, whisking curious neighbors and visitors on a guided walk down Randolph Street from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., departing from Formento's at 925 W. Randolph St. The tour offers an insider's peek into some of Chicago's most talked-about restaurants and homegrown breweries — a delicious way to welcome the new season and discover hidden gems right in your own backyard. This Sunday, March 22nd, is a perfect time to join.

And if that's not enough to get you excited about warmer days ahead, mark your calendars: Taste of Randolph is officially scheduled for June 19–21, 2026, celebrating the best bites and live music the West Loop's buzzing restaurant corridor has to offer. Even further out, the West Loop Music & Art Fest is set to span four blocks of vibrant Fulton Street, promising live music, art activations, and local artists running all day and into the evening — a true community celebration of everything that makes this neighborhood shine.

Whether you're a longtime West Loop resident or just discovering the neighborhood, these events are a reminder of how rich and connected this community really is. Have you done the Sunday food tour before, or are you planning to catch Taste of Randolph this summer? Tell your neighbors about your favorite Randolph Street spot right here on Socialhood!
