Lincoln Park Is Building Up: A 02M High-Rise Gets the Green Light — and Construction Kicks Off on North ClarkBy Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Lincoln Park ·
Lincoln Park's skyline is about to get a little taller — and its housing options a whole lot broader. The Chicago Plan Commission gave its first approval this week to a bold
02 million residential project at 1415 N. Dayton Street. Developed by Honore Properties and Peerless Development and designed by bKL Architecture, the 28-story tower would bring 340 new apartments to the southern edge of Lincoln Park, right across from Goose Island and the Salt Shed. The building would offer everything from studios to three-bedroom units, with 68 of those apartments designated as affordable housing for residents earning around $50,400 annually. Topping it all off — literally — are two amenity decks, including a rooftop pool. And that's not the only construction buzz in the neighborhood. Just up the road, work has officially broken ground at 2600 N. Clark Street, where ENC Construction is excavating and shoring for a future five-story, 48-unit residential building by Initium Development. Neighbors have already cheered the project online, noting it replaces a long-vacant single-story building on one of Lincoln Park's most desirable stretches of Clark.
Taken together, these two projects signal a neighborhood investing seriously in its future — adding density, affordability, and vitality right where people want to live. Follow the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce and your local alderman's office for updates as both projects move forward!
