West Englewood Gears Up for a Power Week: Free Homeownership Lab, Small Business Finance Training & Community Meetups Ahead
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/West Englewood ·
West Englewood residents have a packed — and empowering — week ahead, with multiple free community events hitting the calendar right now.
First up: R.A.G.E. (Resident Association of Greater Englewood) is hosting a Pop-Up Learning Lab this Tuesday, April 15, from 5:30–7:00 PM at 6835 S. Paulina St., focused entirely on housing development and homeownership. Whether you're a first-time buyer, a renter curious about ownership, or a neighbor who just wants to understand what all the new development means for your block, this free learning lab is built for you. Then on April 21, R.A.G.E. members can connect again at the bi-monthly Members Only Meet Up at Honeycomb — a signature gathering that keeps neighbors informed and in relationship with each other.
Meanwhile, the Greater Englewood Chamber of Commerce is offering a free four-part financial training series running April 21–25 at mHUB (1623 W. Fulton St.), designed to help local entrepreneurs and small business owners turn their finances into a growth engine. It's exactly the kind of practical, no-cost business support that West Englewood's growing commercial scene needs to keep momentum going.
Taken together, these events reflect the West Englewood spirit: community-built, knowledge-forward, and wide open to anyone ready to plug in. Head to ragenglewood.org to RSVP for the Pop-Up Learning Lab, and visit gechamber.com to register for the financial training series.
