Last Call for a Comeback: Lincoln Station Bar & Grill Rises from the Ashes — Plus, a Game-Changing Accessible Housing Project Heads to Belden Ave.
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Lincoln Park ·
Lincoln Park is writing two genuinely feel-good stories this week — one a triumphant second act, the other a landmark first.
After a massive fire shuttered it in 2023, Lincoln Station Bar and Grill is officially back. The beloved neighborhood watering hole is reopening this week after more than two years of rebuilding, and the restored space promises the same classic bar staples — burgers, wings, nachos — alongside pool tables, darts, and wall-to-wall TVs ready for game day. For longtime regulars who mourned its loss, this reopening is nothing short of a neighborhood miracle. Owner Hamm refused to let the setbacks be Lincoln Station's last call, and that resilience is something the whole community can raise a glass to.
Meanwhile, a fresh rendering has been unveiled for an exciting new development at 754 W. Belden Avenue, where local nonprofit Over The Rainbow (OTR) is planning a five-story accessible housing building designed by architecture firm Weese Langley Weese. OTR specializes in providing safe, affordable housing and supportive services for adults with physical disabilities — and this project would be a first of its kind in the 43rd Ward. With transit-rich Fullerton just steps away, the location couldn't be more fitting. A community meeting is coming up, so 43rd Ward neighbors: now is the time to get informed and get involved!
