Ravenswood Is Already Planning Your Summer: Kids' Camps, Beer Fests & a Sidewalk Sale Are All on the Calendar
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Ravenswood ·
Spring isn't even halfway through, and Ravenswood is already stacking up one of its most exciting summers in recent memory. The Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce has just published its 2026 Summer Camps Guide for kids, spotlighting a roster of creative, imagination-fueling programs right in the neighborhood. Lillstreet Art Center at 4401 N. Ravenswood Ave. leads the pack with week-long Kidstreet camps for ages 3–16 covering ceramics, metalsmithing, sewing, printmaking, painting, drawing, and digital art — with campers encouraged to come "dressed for mess." Meanwhile, JCYS Big City Day Camp, based at Lincoln Square Ravenswood, offers storytelling, arts and crafts, yoga, outdoor adventures, and even swimming three times a week, running June 15th through August 7th.
But the summer fun doesn't stop with the kids. The GRCC's signature event calendar is packed: the Ravenswood Sidewalk Sale kicks off June 6th, followed by the Malt Row on Damen Beer Tasting Stroll on June 24th, and the beloved Ravenswood On Tap Craft Beer & Music Fest returns July 18–19. And pencil in September 12–13 for the Ravenswood ArtWalk: Tour of Arts & Industry — a full weekend of open studios, live music, outdoor markets, and more stretching along Ravenswood Ave.
Whether you're a family looking for summer enrichment or a neighbor who lives for festival season, Ravenswood has something lined up for everyone. Visit ravenswoodchicago.org to explore the full summer camps guide and event calendar, and start planning your best summer yet.
