Meanwhile, over on Bryn Mawr Avenue, the long-awaited Fried Egg Cafe has cracked open its doors at 1039 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. — filling the beloved space once held by Francesca's, which closed back in 2022 after 21 years in the neighborhood. The breakfast and brunch haven is dishing out omelets, skillets, pancakes, crepes, and lunch fare daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and neighbors who've been watching those "coming soon" signs for months are finally getting their reward.
With the Edgewater Monday Farmers Market also returning June 1st (every Monday, 3–7 p.m.), the neighborhood's food energy is only building. Stop by Desi Boys Pizza or Fried Egg Cafe and taste what's new — then visit edgewater.org to stay plugged into all the flavors Edgewater has to offer this season!
