Bagels, Fire & Flavor: PopUp Bagels Makes Its Chicago Debut in Lincoln Park — And a Bold New Live-Fire Restaurant Is Right Behind It
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Lincoln Park ·
Lincoln Park just leveled up its culinary street cred — twice over. East Coast cult favorite PopUp Bagels swung open the doors of its very first Chicago (and Midwest) location at 2321 N. Lincoln Ave. on April 18, and the neighborhood has already taken notice. The beloved "rip and dip" chain offers its signature bagels in five classic flavors — plain, sesame, poppyseed, salt, and everything — served with a rotating lineup of schmears for dipping, including a fun Lincoln Park exclusive: a limited-edition Giardiniera Schmear crafted in partnership with none other than Chicago's own Portillo's Hot Dogs. The shop is open seven days a week, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with catering available — perfect for your next brunch gathering or office spread.
And if that weren't enough, Lincoln Park has another highly anticipated arrival on the horizon. Chef-driven concept Muhājir is set to open this spring at 2630 N. Clark St., bringing live-fire cooking rooted in global spice trade routes to the neighborhood. Helmed by David Mor, Zubair Mohajir, and Jacob De la Cruz, the menu draws culinary techniques and flavors from both East and West. And tucked behind Muhājir? Bobo — a bold speakeasy inspired by the energy of Filipino street markets, set to debut in May.
Lincoln Park's dining scene is firing on all cylinders this spring. Head to 2321 N. Lincoln Ave. for a bagel run this week, and keep your eyes on 2630 N. Clark St. — your next favorite neighborhood restaurant is almost here!
