On the development front, Bronzeville's housing momentum rolled on this week with a fresh permit issued May 5 for the first of two new three-flat residential buildings at the southeast corner of South Calumet Avenue and East 41st Street. Crown Construction Company is handling contracting, with the project valued at $450,000. A second identical permit for three units and a garage at 4100 S. From a classroom champion to new homes taking shape block by block, Bronzeville is building its future on every front. Congratulate Principal Spicer and keep an eye on the corner of 41st and Calumet — another piece of the neighborhood's residential puzzle is falling into place.
