Summer Starts This Weekend: The 41st Belmont-Sheffield Music Fest Is Coming to Lakeview East

Lake View neighbors, your unofficial kickoff to Chicago's summer festival season is almost here — and it's going to be a big one. The 41st Annual Belmont-Sheffield Music Fest descends on Sheffield Avenue between Roscoe and Belmont this Friday through Sunday, May 22–24, bringing three full days of live music, great food, local artisans, and neighborhood pride to the heart of Lakeview East.

The fest runs Friday from 5–10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with two stages packed with top Midwest tribute acts all weekend long. Saturday's lineup includes School of Rock, Four Star Brass Band, and Jagged Little Pill, while Sunday brings That Petty Band, The Divas, and Hello Weekend. Closing out Sunday night on the main stage are Chasing Rumours (a Fleetwood Mac tribute) and Mellencougar. Local artisan vendors will also be on hand, including Joyee Creations, One Man One Garage, Tori Grace Outfitters, and Pocket Square Clothing — perfect for some unique small-batch shopping between sets.

"This has been 41 years of fun and we look forward to another 41 years," said Executive Director Maureen Martino. The fest is just steps from the Belmont Red Line stop, so leave the car at home and come ready to celebrate the season with your neighbors!
