Fresh Picks & Summer Nights: Streeterville's SOAR Farmers Market Is Back — and Water Tower Place Is Adding a Thursday Night Market

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Streeterville ·

Streeterville's community spirit is in full bloom this weekend, and two farmers market announcements are giving neighbors even more reason to get outside and shop local this summer.

The beloved SOAR Farmers Market — hosted by the Streeterville Organization of Active Residents — is already up and running for 2026, having kicked off on May 19 on the outdoor plaza of the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago at 200 E. Chicago Ave. With over 20 local farmers and merchants on hand each week, the market offers everything from seasonal produce and fresh-cut flowers to ready-to-eat sweet treats and dairy products, with select vendors even offering pre-order options for the ultimate grab-and-go experience. If you haven't made it out yet, now's the perfect time to make it a Sunday ritual.

And the market news doesn't stop there. Just a short stroll away, Water Tower Place at 835 N. Michigan Ave. is set to launch a brand-new weekly night market on the mall's fourth floor, running Thursdays from 4–8 p.m., July 9 through September 24 — a first-of-its-kind evening shopping experience right in the heart of Streeterville's most iconic stretch of Michigan Avenue. Whether you're a farmers market regular or a first-timer, summer 2026 is the season to explore what your neighborhood vendors have to offer. Have you visited the SOAR Market yet?
