Walk This Way: Jefferson Park's New Northwest Art Trail Turns Milwaukee Avenue Into an Outdoor Gallery

Jefferson Park's beloved Milwaukee Avenue just got a stunning cultural upgrade. The Northwest Art Trail — a vibrant new public art experience stretching along N. Milwaukee Avenue and connecting Jefferson Park with Portage Park — is officially open for exploration, and neighbors are already falling in love with it.

The trail features more than ten sculptures, murals, and arts organizations woven right into the fabric of the neighborhood's most iconic corridor. State Sen. Robert Martwick, who helped Arts Alive Chicago conceive and launch the initiative, put it simply: "Art is essential." The route is designed to be walkable and fully accessible, making it easy for residents of all ages to discover creative works while strolling past their favorite local shops and restaurants.

With the Jefferson Park Chamber of Commerce's next General Monthly Meeting set for Wednesday, June 11 at the Copernicus Center (5214 W.
