Pride, Art & Porch Music: Lake View's Summer Calendar Is Absolutely Packed Right Now
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Lake View ·
Lake View neighbors, if your summer social calendar isn't bursting yet — it's about to be. June has arrived in full force, and the neighborhood is serving up art, Pride, live music, and fresh farmers' market finds all at once.
First, it's Pride Month, and Lakeview East is leaning all the way in. The Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce has rolled out its full Guide to Pride 2026, spotlighting the neighborhood's most colorful month of the year across Northalsted and beyond. Whether you're hunting for the perfect brunch spot, a rainbow-stocked boutique, or a lively bar crawl with your crew, Lakeview East's LGBTQ+-friendly businesses and venues are ready to welcome everyone with open arms all month long.
Looking a little further ahead on the calendar, mark your weekends now: the Lakeview East Festival of the Arts — rated the #1 Fine Arts Festival in Chicago and #2 in all of Illinois — returns to the neighborhood this summer, showcasing over 125 juried artists with paintings, sculptures, photography, jewelry, and more. The beloved fest draws over 45,000 attendees annually and features live entertainment, family activities, and a gorgeous garden oasis right in the heart of the neighborhood. And just to the west, the Roscoe Village Farmers Market is already in full swing on Sundays at Hamlin Park, with farm-fresh produce, baked goods, flowers, and more — plus the Roscoe Village PorchFest is coming June 28, bringing local musicians to front porches throughout the village for an intimate, free neighborhood music experience. Lake View is truly doing summer right — get out there and soak it all in!
