Free Yoga, Fresh Produce & Live Music Coming to Horner Park — Plus Kilbourn Park's Concert Series Is Almost Here

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Irving Park ·

Irving Park neighbors, your summer social calendar just got even fuller — and two recurring neighborhood staples are making sure you have something to look forward to every single week through the fall.

First up: the Horner Park Farmers Market is in full swing right in your backyard at 2741 W. Montrose Ave., running every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through October 10. Nestled in the northwest corner of Horner Park in front of the Fieldhouse at Montrose and California, the market is one of Irving Park's most beloved weekly traditions — and this year it comes with a bonus: free community yoga sessions (weather permitting) for anyone who wants to stretch before they shop. Mark your calendars for September 19, too, when the market hosts a special Kids Day packed with music and family programming. It's the kind of community-minded, neighborhood-first event that makes Irving Park feel like home.

And if that's not enough, Kilbourn Park's Summer Concert Series is just around the corner, launching July 3 and running through July 31 with free live performances right here in the neighborhood. After the sold-out energy of the 'From Broadway to Hollywood' show earlier this season, Kilbourn Park is doubling down on its role as Irving Park's premier outdoor entertainment destination. Whether you're a market regular or a first-time concert-goer, there's never been a better summer to get outside and connect with your neighbors. Which are you most excited for — Saturday mornings at Horner Park or summer nights at Kilbourn? Sound off in the comments below!
