Pizza, Thai & Festival Season: Broadway Is on a Hot Streak This Summer in Lake View

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Lake View ·

Lake View's Broadway corridor is having a serious moment, and food lovers have every reason to make the trip. Milly's Pizza In The Pan — one of Chicago's most celebrated pan pizza makers — has planted its flag at 3409 N. Broadway, bringing its iconic caramelized, cheese-edged crust pies and tangy tomato sauce to the neighborhood. Owner Robert Maleski launched Milly's in 2020, and what started as a ghost kitchen has become a bona fide Chicago institution. The new Lakeview outpost offers more seating than other locations and also features a limited run of Detroit-style pizzas — a new addition fans won't want to sleep on. Fair warning: Milly's only makes a limited number of pies per day, so order ahead!

Broadway also welcomed Thai Me Up Cafe, a casual new Thai spot serving up larb wings, northern Thai sausage, panang curry, pad ka prow, and tom yum noodle soup — a bold and flavorful addition to the strip's already diverse dining scene.

And if you're already mapping out your summer weekends, pencil in two more Lake View staples: the Roscoe Village Burger Fest returns July 17–19, and the Lakeview Taco Fest hits the neighborhood August 21–23. It's shaping up to be one of the tastiest summers Broadway has ever seen — get out there and dig in!
