West Town Scores Big: Soccer House Opens Just in Time for World Cup Season — Plus a New Coffee-Cocktail Gem on the Block
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/West Town ·
West Town's dining and nightlife scene just got two exciting new additions, and both are worth making plans for this holiday weekend. Soccer House, a brand-new sports bar, has opened its doors in West Town just in time to catch World Cup action all summer long. The venue is loaded with TVs, features multiple rooms dedicated to specific matches, and even opens as early as 6am to accommodate games airing from different time zones — making it the neighborhood's ultimate destination for the beautiful game. The eclectic food menu features wings, giant pretzels, choripan, and a standout ramen with chicken broth and hot sauce, giving fans plenty of fuel for every match.
Not far away, Caña has arrived as West Town's most unique new hybrid spot — part coffee shop, part cocktail lounge, and fully inspired by the Puerto Rican and Mexican roots of its founders, who come from the beloved Smash Jibarito and Trino teams. Expect inventive drinks like parcha mojitos and café de olla cold brew topped with banana cream, plus a menu of sandwiches to round out the experience.
With West Fest coming July 17–19 and now two buzzy new spots to explore, West Town is firing on all cylinders this summer. Head to Soccer House to cheer on your favorite team, sip something inventive at Caña, and keep celebrating the neighborhood's unstoppable energy!
