Walk This Way: Jefferson Park's NW Art Trail Brings Sculptures, Murals & Milwaukee Ave. Magic to the Northwest Side
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Jefferson Park ·
Jefferson Park neighbors, your daily stroll down Milwaukee Avenue just got a serious upgrade. The Northwest Side's own NW Art Trail Walk — a vibrant public art experience featuring more than ten stunning sculptures and murals winding along N. Milwaukee Avenue — is fully live and waiting to be explored this summer. Whether you've walked past these works a dozen times or are discovering them for the first time, the trail offers a uniquely Jefferson Park way to experience world-class public art right outside your front door. The Jefferson Park Chamber of Commerce encourages residents to grab a map, connect with the art, and stop into neighborhood shops and restaurants along the way to soak up the full culture of Chicago's Northwest Side.
And if all that art-gazing works up an appetite, Jefferson Park has some delicious news: the legendary Gale Street Inn is back open for business. After the beloved restaurant's abrupt closure following 62 years in operation, new owner Pablo Villabona confirmed the iconic Jefferson Park institution has reopened its doors — giving Northwest Siders a reason to celebrate a true neighborhood treasure reborn.
Two great reasons to get out and explore Jefferson Park this week! Follow the Jefferson Park Chamber of Commerce and Jefferson Park Forward for the latest on the NW Art Trail and all the neighborhood happenings still to come this summer on the Northwest Side.
