Tonight, July 9, Harper Court (5235 S. Harper Court) is alive again with Jazz in the Court, the beloved outdoor concert series that turns the heart of 53rd Street into a South Side living room. This month's headliner is Julian Davis Reid's Circle of Trust, bringing sophisticated, soulful jazz to the courtyard for an evening that perfectly captures everything Hyde Park does best: world-class culture, right outside your door, completely free. Per Block Club Chicago's 2026 summer guide, Jazz in the Court runs on the first Thursday of each month through September — so pencil in August 6 and September 10 while you're at it.
