Can't wait until August? Good news — the music has already started. The Edgewater Historical Society kicked off its beloved free summer concert series on July 8, bringing live performances to the beautiful EHS garden every Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. through August 19. The series is kid- and pet-friendly, making it one of the most genuinely welcoming community traditions on the North Side.
And if you're a reader looking for community today, the Friends of the Edgewater Library are hosting an in-person No Book Club session this morning (Friday, July 10, 10–11 a.m.) in the Betty A. Barclay Community Room at the Edgewater Branch Library, 6000 N. Broadway — no registration required. From the garden stage to the festival street, Edgewater is proving this summer has something for everyone. Visit edgewater.org and edgewaterhistory.org to stay in the loop!
