Burgers, Brews & Bling: Burger Fest Is One Week Away, Colectivo Coffee Eyes a Southport Comeback, and a Jewelry Gem Lands on the Corridor

By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Lake View ·

Lake View neighbors, your summer calendar is about to get very full — and very delicious. The beloved Roscoe Village Burger Fest returns next weekend, July 17–19, for its 18th year, running down Belmont Avenue from Damen to Oakley avenues. This three-day street party is one of the North Side's most anticipated summer traditions, drawing crowds hungry for creative burgers, cold drinks, and that unmistakable neighborhood block-party energy. If you haven't been in a few years, this is the year to come back.

Over on the Southport Corridor, coffee lovers have reason to rejoice: Colectivo Coffee is back on track at its Southport Avenue location after a major structural rebuild set it back earlier this year, with a summer opening now in sight. The beloved Wisconsin-born, Chicago-adopted roaster has long been a neighborhood fixture, and its return to the strip will be a welcome sight for regulars who've been patiently waiting.

And for those with an eye for the finer things, keep your eyes peeled on 3530 N. Southport Avenue — HYOU Fine Jewelry is headed to the Corridor, adding a touch of sparkle to one of Lake View's most walkable stretches. Between the festival next weekend, a coffee shop comeback, and a stylish new boutique, Lake View is firing on all cylinders this July. Get out there and soak it all in!
