Pershing Rd., is currently closed for the entire 2026 season while it undergoes a full redesign and rebuild. For families who count on the splash pad to beat the summer heat, it's a temporary trade-off — but the payoff promises a brand-new water play experience on the other side.

The closure is part of the Chicago Park District's broader investment in upgrading aging park infrastructure across the city.
