Sweet News: Pretty Cool Ice Cream's Irving Park Production Hub Is the Coolest Summer Addition to the Northwest Side
By Socialhood News · Il/Chicago/Irving Park ·
Irving Park neighbors, your neighborhood just got a whole lot sweeter — literally. Pretty Cool Ice Cream, the beloved Chicago treat company famous for its handcrafted pops, has opened a brand-new production facility right in the heart of Irving Park at 3929 N. Central Park Ave. The expansion is a big deal: the new space will allow the company to triple its output, meeting surging demand as the brand grows beyond its Logan Square roots and goes national.
Founded nearly eight years ago, Pretty Cool has become a genuine Chicago institution, having sold over 1.5 million pops in more than 300 flavors. The Irving Park facility takes on all production operations, freeing up the Logan Square storefront for the community events, birthday parties, and artist collaborations that have made it a neighborhood staple. Co-founder Dana Cree put it plainly — the original location was simply "busting at the seams," with no room to grow the freezer capacity needed to keep up with demand.
It's a proud moment for Irving Park, which can now claim a piece of one of Chicago's most exciting food success stories. Whether you're a longtime Pretty Cool fan or just discovering those gorgeous, artisan pops for the first time, this Northwest Side production hub is something to celebrate. Have you tried Pretty Cool Ice Cream yet? Drop your favorite flavor in the comments and tag a neighbor who deserves a sweet summer treat!
