The Taylor Street Little Italy Festa Is THREE Days Away — Here's Your Ultimate Neighbor's Playbook for August 13–16

Little Italy, it's go time. After weeks of anticipation, the Taylor Street Little Italy Festa is officially almost here — opening its gates this Thursday, August 13, and running through Sunday, August 16, right in the heart of the neighborhood between Ashland Avenue and Throop Street. And if you haven't locked in your game plan yet, now is the moment.

Produced by Taylor Street native Ron Onesti of Onesti Entertainment and sponsored by the Little Italy Chicago Neighborhood Association (LICNA), this year's Festa is shaping up to be a full four-day celebration of food, culture, and community pride. Expect five stages of live entertainment, food from the corridor's award-winning restaurants, imported Italian merchandise, cultural exhibits, carnival games, magicians, and cocktails — all free to attend, with a suggested

0 donation to help support the entertainers. Thursday and Friday hours run 5–10 p.m., with Saturday and Sunday going noon to 10 p.m. Getting there is easy: the Pink Line to Polk is a five-minute walk, the Blue Line to UIC-Halsted is ten minutes, and the 12 Roosevelt and 9 Ashland buses stop within a block. Driving? UIC parking lots open up after 5 p.m. on Friday.
